Aaron Huertas Communications Director

Aaron Huertas specializes in science communication and political advocacy. He previously served as communications director for the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis and in 2020 he worked as a chief of staff for We Can Vote, a startup that helped public health professionals advise voters on how to cast their ballots during the COVID-19 pandemic. He's held previous positions with Swing Left, Cater Communications, NextGen America, and the Union of Concerned Scientists, where he helped scientists respond to political attacks on their research. He is the host of a podcast and video series—Close Read—which analyzes how political arguments work in practice. He is a graduate of George Washington University.
